Our guest this week has one of the most notable lines of lineage we have had on the show to date; His Grandmother’s second cousin was Rosa Parks!

Born into a family rich in history and trendsetting, he did not fall short in carrying on his family name. He is an accomplished author & award-winning broadcaster of historical events like the Presidential Elections, Hurricane Sandy, and 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood & made history himself becoming the first African American CBS News Justice & Homeland Security Correspondent.

Through all of his success, he has struggled silently for years. He opens up about his anxiety describing it as debilitating but shares that he is working on being comfortable expressing it which is something we admire!

The one thing you won’t find on Google is how his international childhood shaped him & how when he returned to the states, he was determined to play a sport with (OR because of the) cheerleaders.
